Penmac Staffing is Hiring a Public Safety Dispatcher Near Kansas, KS
**Minimum required qualification**:
- Must have been released from training and left in good standing. Must be able to work the posted vacancies they select.
- Must have 1 year experience as a Police Dispatcher and be released from training at their current agency. They must be able to learn the KCKPD / BS&E 911, CAD, and Radio system.
- Must be actively dispatching for another agency.
Dispatcher- $28.49/HR
Available shifts are Monday through Sunday
The public safety dispatcher's primary responsibility is to answer emergency and non-emergency voice & TTY calls and enter the information into a computer and aided dispatch system. The dispatcher determines the nature of the call, whether a response is necessary and what type of assistance is needed. For emergency calls requiring law enforcement response, the dispatcher relays, via a radio console, the appropriate units to the scene according to the priority and availability of the field units. The dispatcher is responsible for retrieving and relaying to requesting law enforcement field units .
